Phillip Honanie is a very accomplished Hopi silversmith who has
been working since the late 1960’s. He is of the bear clan
and his hallmark is the Hopi sign for friendship, a pair of crescents.
He resides in the second Mesa village of Shungopovi.
Phillip is considered one of the premier Hopi artists and has not
been making jewelry since 2002 as he is battling diabetes. |
